Long Term Substitute Animal Science Instructor

Primary Functions:
• Responsible for teaching animal science and related courses which may vary dependent on changes to the curriculum.
• Establish and maintain a classroom culture of safety, strong work ethic, and respect.
• Work to engage and encourage students while respecting individual abilities and prog
• Provide a safe classroom and shop environment.
• Keep accurate records as to each student's progress and to provide reports as needed for both parents and the schools' administration and meet with the same.
• To participate in the meetings of the Animal Science department and the teaching staff when requested.
• To assume other normal responsibilities and duties assigned to teacher as per teachers' contract (corridor duty, lunchroom duty, etc.)
• Responsibilities may include student supervision and support throughout the entire school campus.
• Any other school assignments as required.


WORK DAY:
Work day is 7:30am to 2:40pm.
Work year as per Unit D teaching contract, from January 2, 2020 through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
Salary will be pro-rated, Step 1 as outline in the Unit D teaching contract.
Non-benefited position.

We are seeking a motivated individual to assist students in reaching their career goal. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties for evening classes at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School's Adult Education Evening Phlebotomy Course.

110 Hours

Monday’s and Wednesday’s  5:30pm – 8:30pm

January 13, 2020 to June 10, 2020

$5,500 Stipend

 

Instructor needed to teach 110 hour Tier 3 program in compliance with Commonwealth of Massachusetts General Laws and Regulations. Students are apprentice plumbers looking to sit for the Journeyman’s Exam. Must be a Licensed Master Plumber.
